chess

If you’re off work for a few weeks recovering from a hip replacement, knee replacement, broken leg or some other ailment (whether or not you are on crutches) you’re going to tire of Netflix eventually.

Have a look at our blog about what to do if you’re bored. If you’re interested in a new hobby, how about improving your chess skills?  We’ve found a great app by the world champion himself – Magnus Carlsen.

It’s called Play Magnus.  The idea is that you play against a computer version of Magnus and instead of selecting a difficulty level, you choose the age he is when you play him.  If you struggle to win, don’t be disheartened – Magnus was a chess Grandmaster at the age of 13!  We have a chess prodigy in the office here who can beat Magnus aged 10 which we think is good going.

You can find the game here Play Magnus.  Happy castling!
